MOUNT SENTINEL TO BE RENAMED 'MOUNT McCARTNEY' TUESDAY

Missoula's iconic Mount Sentinel will be renamed 'Mount McCartney' Tuesday, to welcome Sir Paul McCartney to the Garden City.

According to a press release from the University of Montana, UM and the City of Missoula will proclaim Mount Sentinel and its 'M' as Mount McCartney.
“We are thrilled to have a legend such as Paul McCartney playing in our community,” Engstrom said in the press release. “This concert not only brings folks from around our great state together in Missoula, but also attracts fans from around the country. We think Washington-Grizzly Stadium is a wonderful place to host a concert of this caliber.”
“It’s exciting to have an artist of this magnitude visit Missoula,” Mayor John Engen said in the press release. “We hope he has a good time here, and we know we will enjoy his visit.”
The name change for the mountain is for one day only.

Tuesday's concert in Missoula is part of McCartney's 'Out There' tour. The Garden City is just one stop on the 19-city U.S. leg of his international tour that started last year.
The university posted a Survival Guide online that includes maps for parking and the ticket gates.  There's information what you should and should not bring with you to the concert, and a complete list of locations for food, beverage, merchandise, ATMs and restrooms.  Click here for the complete Survival Guide.
