JULIAN AND BONO SINGING "STAND BY ME" LAST NIGHT

On Wednesday night, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation hosted its inaugural fundraising gala Saint–Tropez, netting more than $25 million. The American actor and film director established the foundation in 1998 to protect the last wild places on earth.

Bono auctioned off a guitar for $1 million and also performed “Stand By Me” on stage with Julian Lennon. Crooner Thicke closed the night, and DJs included Paul Oakenfold.

Bono, Marion Cotillard, Jared Leto, Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Robin Thicke, Julian Lennon and Joan Collins were among VIPs at the event, which included a live action conducted by Simon de Pury.

Bono and DiCaprio auctioned off their own guitar and Harley-Davidson motorcycle, respectively, while businessman Len Blavatnik bought a Damien Hirst sculpture for $6 million.
