A CONVERSATION WITH JAY KELLY

A Conversation with Jay Brian Kelly, Dorset, England. Kelly is working on the illustrations for the new book by Sylvia Bodhi (the book is about her time with the Beatles on Magical Mystery Tour film in 1967)

1-Since when you dedicate yourself art?
I have always been into art and drawing, but its this past year that i have dedicated more time into getting my art out there. I have worked for an anime comic in the past year... But now i have finished working for them, i have more time to spend doing work like Sylvia's book, and other art that i am interested in.

2-What type of art develop?
I don't have one style i have developed, i like 60's style art, and i also like to do pin up style illustrations and portraiture's.

3-other drawings that you have done?
This is my first book illustrations i have done, but i have done alot of drawing, most of them i am slowly adding to my facebook page. There are alot of them.
4-How you contact Sylvia?
Me and Sylvia started talking over facebook, and she told me about the book, and it just went on from there. And we talk on facebook most days.

5-how many drawings you made for the book of Sylvia?
We have not finished with all the illustrations yet, i have done the back and front cover, but there are a few more illustrations we have talked about for inside the book, but we are still talking about other illustrations that might be needed.
Yeah i would be interested in doing a book of my drawings, would really like to look into that in the future.

6- will you do a book with your pictures?
Yeah i would be interested in doing a book of my drawings, would really like to look into that in the future.

7-What are your next projects?
My main project at the moment is the magical mystery tour book, we will just have to see what else comes comes my way later in the year. I would like to do other book illustrations, but i am open to do most illustrating jobs at the moment.

8-something else you want to add?
I like drawing The Beatles its no lie, so when Sylvia's book came along it was right up my street. I am always up to draw any commissions, if it be of The Beatles of a pin up, or anything. So if anyone reading this would like to ask me about a commission or a print then they can contact me at jayboy95@rocketmail.com

I would just like to say hi to all at The Beatles Magazine! Hope you all have a great 2013
