LOUISE HARRISON TALKS ABOUT BROTHER

FARMINGTON – If there’s anyone who could let you in on the “real” George Harrison, it would be the sister of the former Beatle who died from lung cancer 11 years ago this month.

Louise Harrison, 81, spends much of her time nowadays promoting the Beatles tribute band, “Liverpool Legends” that will be appearing Nov. 10 at the Centene Center in Farmington, courtesy of Mineral Area Council on the Arts.

Twelve years older than her famous brother, Harrison said she left Liverpool, England for the United States when she was 30 years old.

“I was married to an engineer who was in quite a lot of demand in different countries, including America,” she said Friday from her Sarasota, Fla., home.
