Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band will head to New Zealand for two
shows next year, bringing the Beatle back to his Kiwi fans for the first
time since the legendary 1964 tour down under.
The Beatles drummer will be joined by Toto's Steve Lukather, Richard
Page from Mr. Mister, Todd Rundgren, Mark Rivera, Gregg Rolie (Santana
& Journey) and Gregg Bissonette for shows in Christchurch and
Auckland.
Starr will play all his hits including It Don't Come Easy, Little Help From My Friends and Yellow Submarine.
The All Star Band's back catalogue will also feature, with classics
like Rosanna, Broken Wings and Black Magic Woman to be performed.
The band has just wrapped up a tour of the US and Starr said he was looking forward to heading to New Zealand one more time.
"The tour this summer in the US was just great - I love playing with
this band and I can't wait to get back out and play with them again. I
am looking forward to revisiting New Zealand and bringing the All
Starrs. Peace & Love."
