PAUL IN SYRACUSE : STORY ARE TRUE

So the stories are true: Paul really was in Central New York Wednesday. His visit adds another intriguing chapter to the already legendary interaction of The Beatles with the greater Syracuse community.

In 1971, while Yoko Ono staged her 'This is Not Here' exhibition at the Everson Museum of Art, John Lennon celebrated his 31st birthday in Syracuse. Although The Beatles had already broken up, Lennon, Ringo Starr, Ono, Allen Ginsberg, Phil Spector and others held an impromptu "concert" in the Hotel Syracuse that included a version of McCartney's Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey.
