THE LAST CONCERT: 45TH ANNIVERSARY


Monday celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Beatles' last live performance, which took place on Aug. 29, 1966, at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

In San Francisco, only 25,000 tickets were sold for a stadium that held more than 40,000 people. There were four other bands on the bill. The Beatles performed 11 songs and were paid $90,000 for the show. The last song they played was "Long Tall Sally."
