LIVERPOOL AUTHOR LAUNCHES NEW CDAT BEATEXPO IN STAMFORD, USA

In his internationally acclaimed book, “Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles”, Liverpudlian David Bedford re-wrote many of the myths that surrounded the early history of The Beatles.

Now, Bedford has used his research from “Liddypool” to tell the story of how The Quarrymen became The Beatles, from skiffle to rock ‘n’ roll, through the songs and artists that inspired them.

From Elvis and Buddy Holly, to Lonnie Donegan and The Del Vikings, the importance of each song is explained in the detailed booklet that accompanies the brand new original CD – “Liddypool: Who Put The Beat in The Beatles?”.

Dave was set to launch the new CD at "BEATEXPO" in Stamford, USA, on Sunday 28th November.

The songs that are featured include:
•“Rock Around The Clock”. John Lennon once commented that ‘I had no idea about doing music as a way of life until rock and roll hit me.’ When asked what specifically hit him, Lennon replied: ‘It was "Rock Around The Clock."’
