Join Macca on the Mull of Kintyre with 7,360-acre Carskiey estate
It's where the mist comes rolling in from the sea and was made famous the world over by former Beatle Paul McCartney. Today, 33 years after the song topped the UK charts, a large chunk of the Mull of Kintyre - the 7,360-acre Carskiey estate - is for sale.
The estate, which includes an Edwardian house and nine miles of coastline, is being sold by Strutt & Parker for £2.95million.
Sir Paul, who sang the song with Wings, once said: 'I certainly loved Scotland enough, so I came up with a song about where we were living, an area called Mull of Kintyre.
'It was a love song, really, about how I enjoyed being there and imagining I was travelling away and wanting to get back there.'
Romantic: The Carskiey estate is the Edwardian centrepiece of the Mull of Kintyre
Singing its praises: Paul McCartney and his late wife Linda with their family
