Sam Mendes Casts Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan & Charlie Rowe In His Beatles Films
Sam Mendes To Direct 4 Beatles Film Drama Based On Each Band Member For 2027.
Harrison Dickinson will play John Lennon, Paul Mescal is Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan is Ringo Starr, and Charlie Rowe is George Harrison.
Mendes will direct all four of them, with each one centering on a particular Beatle’s POV. However, they’ll all interconnect, so expect all four actors to appear in each movie. Sony chief Tom Rothman told that Mendes plans to start shooting the projects mid-next year in the UK.
This marks the first time that The Beatles and their families have granted full life story rights for a scripted film.
Mendes said about the project:
“We went out to L.A. just before Christmas to pitch the project, and it’s fair to say we were met with universal enthusiasm. The reason Sony stood out from competing offers was down to Tom [Rothman] and Elizabeth’s [Gabler] passion for the idea, and commitment to propelling these films theatrically in an innovative and exciting way.”
