“Usually, I do one tour and then breakup the All Starrs,” Starr tells the Atlantic City Insider. “With this band, I’m trying so hard to keep it together that, you know, we’ve done half the world. We have so much fun that I’m working hard to keep the band together.”
Sharing stages since 2012, this tight-knit group includes Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie and Todd Rundgren. Richard Page and Gregg Bissonette have been with Ringo since 2010. Rundgren, part of earlier lineups in 1992 and ’99, has called it the best Starr’s ever assembled.His boss, tends to agree: “I’ve played with a lot of great players, and this band in particularly,” Starr said. “Everyone is just incredible, and it just happened — the chemistry between us all is just incredible. There’s a lot of love, there’s a lot of support. We all just have a good time.”
